4 years of straight layoffs by this lousy CEO. The plan IS NOT working. The company is in shambles worse than ever, even with all the fake accounting practices. The stock is down. The employee morale is beyond bad. The clients are p-ss-d. And most all of the management are just downright jokes - bad at their job - and highly unethical people. And there is rampant back stabbing at this company . Overall it has been a horrid place to work and no real signs it is getting any better any time soon if ever.

The title of this post says it all!
To address your uninformed question: Carlos has been doing his "plan" for over 4 solid years, with planning going back even 3 years prior to that. It has been a train wreck. The idea to eliminate your best most knowledgeable employees at the level he has been doing is bad for clients, bad for employees, and bad for the future of the company. His meetings and influence from McKinsey and The Boston Consulting Group "management consulting firms" sold him an idea that he did not have the ability to understand or comprehend the impacts. He saw dollars signs being painted to him that the former CFO could spin to enhance their personal pay, stock incentives, and bonuses.
Another CEO might do worse, they might do better. A new CEO however, being brought in would not have the same cover as Carlos has formed with his 8 person croanies he has surrounded himself with. They too are on the take (do you own homework and then you will know this is factually backed up) so they are not incentivized to upset their gravy train.
Meanwhile, thousands upon thousands of employees, are and have been laid off. The numbers they are targeting (originally before COVID-19) is upwards of 20,000 employees. Now without the knowledge, and whiny brat millennials who don't know how things work, clients are really frustrated with ADP and leaving in large numbers. Pack on the impacts of COVID-19 with the bad CEO leadership of Carlos Rodriquez and his multi-year failures have led to a bad outlook for ADP. The hedge funds and market analysts are negative on the company for the forseeable future.
Now, if you really believe that is a healthy environment, stay and enjoy your coming furlough or layoff. Oh and remember the last round of "furloughs" that were lies and turned into more masked mass reductions... watch as that is planned again year end.
And your comment about the number of reductions at ADP being less that other companies is just a completely wrong statement. Do the math. ADP has been far worse. But the fact that other companies are laying off employees too, that hurts those companies and guess who else: ADP! ADP's income and future is bleaker because of the impacts to all the other companies going out of business and layoffs. All I can figure is you must be a naive Bernie Sanders kool aid drinker and can't think for yourself.
How do we know that the company wouldn't be doing worse with another CEO? At least Carlos is sticking to his vision and not changing direction every year like some CEOs do. All in all, employee reductions at ADP have been very small compared to other companies.
As expected: Carlos didn't even rank anywhere on the top CEO list released today, much less in the top ten! It is time to fire this CEO and get a good one with some knowledge, experience, leadership abilities, vision, and wisdom to replace him!
@2ofx+16VKjVRn - no doubt you are an ADP HR kool aid drinker. Just look at the harm this CEO has done to so many people - both former and current employees. If you think that it is good, then you are a complete fool. As more layoffs are indeed happening and planned for year end, let's see you change your approval when you get that door knob hitting you in the backside as you are pushed out violating EEO laws, but skirted to save a few dollars. You really are so naive.
Wow. Just wow. If you are still associates, please resign. We don’t need you.
His "plan" was very flawed. Terrible judgement, terrible leadership.
The lousy CEO Carlos Rodriquez can layoff everyone to try to make himself feel like a big man but all the layoffs in the world won't fix that ugly bald head or put real hair back on it! Just a person with an ego trying to makeup for his low self esteem!
The "plan" was simply to save on labor costs by eliminating experienced personnel, not taking into account the loss of the company's knowledge base which is crucial to have in a successful company. Unbelievable ineptitude! Save a pennies in the short run and lose dollars in the long run.
