Good news is there are jobs and we don’t need to watch our out of touch CEO in a golf cart video (which clearly had $$$$ spent), plus the weird obsession making all things on our homepage about Goeckeler yet he is so quiet publicly. Bad news is our WD is being guided by narcissistic self serving people who care nothing about the employees.

The blame game is in high gear and it’s comical given that of it was so bad, we need to ask ourselves WHY DID GOECKELER AND HIS MINIONS COME? We need leadership. Please someone put Hunkler in charge.

Raise your hand if worked on the “day off”. Yeah thought so. Wheels are coming off but keep taking a golf cart to talk to employees. Tone deaf and clearly out of touch.

WDC is coming to a reckoning that hard drives are like film cameras. Digital cameras have replaced film cameras for which Kodak recognized only too little, too late. At least WDC is well positioned with SDD to have a better chance than Kodak but still needs to further divest it’s manufacturing capability for hard drives. Fewer and fewer data center owners want spinning rusty metal platters burning up power and requiring air conditioning.
