Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

It's definitely not over

I know of at least two people that were hit today. The weird thing was not even their CC nor their Practice manager was aware of who was targeted. Also the performance claim is complete BS. One of the people I know of was a top performer, 100% billable and brought in 1 Mill/yr worth of work...

A lot of people who were consultants who were working non-billable on CIO projects also are getting the Axe apparently. These are people that get put on these engagements, often not by choice but solely because Accenture won't hire people to do work internally but pull from their consulting pool when they feel like it. Now those people are scrambling to get out before they are next.

There were folks that were chargeable who were let go. I have first-hand knowledge of two that were booked into next year who were released. In both of these cases, even though they were currently on projects, they did not possess the skills that are most in demand right now.

Evil HR and Talent Leads just filling their own pockets. Willing to cut people without explanation because these folks would literally slice their own mothers throats and then lay her under a bus with an Accenture-logo on it. It’s terrible how they make people feel. A friend has great performance and was cut and very much targeted.

Yeah my friend just got cut yesterday. His CC was not in the loop at all. He did not know and said he was just the messenger. My friend was applying for roles and they would never respond. His last two months he got a high recommendation from the Project Manager and they still cut him. I believe it has to do with factors like your age, race, and if you have been on the bench for a while Well alot of people were on the bench for COVID 19. They needed to improve their numbers so they cut people.
That is how corps work. They want to keep their stock price elevated and they have to cut to keep it up. It s—s as he is a software engineer and had no idea he was being cut.

How do you know they were a top performer? Did their CC tell them that? Unfortunately, like all corporate companies people were forced rank in the bottom %. Yeah, it s—s. Best of luck to your co-workers.

seems to be more in US and India. If you're chargeable you're ok. if you're not the eye of sauron will find you eventaully.
