Thread regarding General Atomics layoffs

Can't wait to see how this affects the company's future

Laying off the hardest and most experienced employees and keeping all the brown nosers and new hires is a disaster waiting to happen. I'd really like to know who thought that would be a good long-term strategy. I'm personally looking forward to the day this comes back and bites the leadership in the a–.

this is already happening, their concept looks like a ripped off version of NG RQ-180 packaged in a darker shade. i guess cutting workers also means copying the design of your competitor. well done china i mean GA.

Totally AGREE... with one understanding, they did do away with —>SOME — red flag/under-performing employees. What I do not understand is why management in my department chose to retain a bunch of KissA—es/lazy scumbags... these people were good at holding down toolboxes and would take up to 8 smoke breaks a day, EIGHT!!! second, of the majority that were retained nearly all came from out of state, many of these people want to go back home because they hate living in California.

A few weeks into this layoff a coworker just gave his two weeks notice. Our department manger looked disappointed and one can only guess why. I know more are yet to come, good job laying off workers in a department already experiencing a huge exodus of workers.! i already heard some of the those that were let go are being picked up by other companies in the Palmdale area good for them.
