Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

I HATE 1st level management!!!

1st level management is useless overhead. 1st level used to put techs and reps into a position to succeed. Now they put the most skilled employees into position to put out "company" fires and then turn their back on them for "going beyond the call'. The company is only surviving in spite of itself, if it wasn't for knowledge and caring employees we'd been out of business a long time ago. To 1st level management who only care about the spreadsheet instead of training and developing quality employees shame on you, and if you're too stupid or incompetent step aside; let the company succeed and go manage a McDonald's.

Bad techs tend to have bad managers......good managers tend to have good techs....if i see a sh–ty tech, i am willing to bet he has a sh–ty supervisor

They are the only ones holding useless union employees accountable, makes sense why you would hate them now.

Many VZ managers had no idea what they were doing in the NOC. An Obama FCC social experiment of twisted affirmative action

There was this first line manager, dreadlocks and all, couldn't think on his feet, always looked at the union book to make decisions. Last I heard he became a director.

I’m a former tech and I can tell you that I was just holding out until I got the points. I didn’t care about customers. Also, I did sleep in my van a lot.

I was a 1st line sup for Vz and Ftr. I treated my team as family and I was extremely respected....unfortunately Ftr wanted me to do things beyond my morals and dignity...so I said goodbye...I felt bad for my team but the job was k–ling me...I still miss my team 3 years later!

Unfortunately, it all comes from the top. The think this will fix the company. They are just wasting more time than fixing the real issues. Hopefully they will figure it out one day.

Yep, I'm sure that the intentional mismanagement and corporate greed had NOTHING to do with it, you fool... If you believe that anyone on the craft/hourly level is to blame for the downfall of this company, it just means either you are in management yourself or you were dumb enough to drink the kool-aid they're trying to peddle on us.

It’s a known fact that techs destroyed Frontier.

I love listening to the techs complain. Of course you hate 1st level managers, because they make you do your jobs. If it wasn’t for them, the techs would literally spend all day sleeping in their vans!! SMDH

I can tell you that for 390 directors there’s 38 million reasons why they’re not going anywhere The KERP for the same jackwads that got us where we are keeps them thinking of their well-being not that of the company or the employees Especially the highly skilled ones that keep the company going

Yup, very frustrating for senior employees being treated like p–p for doing their job and caring for customers.
