I STILL work for Oxy and I used to love working here, but as of late I have been giving the company the BARE minimum. After many years it’s nothing but a paycheck for me, a necessity to pay the bills. The Oxy culture needs to be flushed down the toilet along with some management who are worth nothing and bring nothing to this company. Maybe then we can go back to being a good place to work.

Better not let Oxy find out about your moonlighting. It is against policy if you don’t declare it. If it is a conflict of interest or working for a competitor it is not allowed. You could and probably should be fired.
Dont even do the bare minimum as you still get a paycheck - Its like winning the State lottery

I dont care about a bonus or a pay-raise - I work as a consultant three days a week and my salary from OXY pays my bills so now im earning more than i ever did going into the office

Imagine how many people would accept the vsp if they were offered: 12/18/24/30 months + guaranteed bonus + med insurance for life? Oh wait.... it did happened.
I feel bad for you OP, keep in mind that you are the culture of the company so first you probably need to change your priorities instead of magically waiting for someone to 'change the culture'. Your whole attitude makes me feel sad for you, don't like the job? will do bare minimum? then quit! you are the problem if you cannot see it. I know things look bad, not just for Oxy but for all, but if we all do the bare minimum WE will be responsible and that will not happen at least on my side, I will do all in my power for Oxy to be succesfull, if it doesn't happen, well, I really tried my best... do us all a favor and just quit.
And statements like bare minimum is why they will call everyone back in the office. It only takes a few to ruin it from WFH. Post that c-ap, and welcome yourself back to the office so they can babysit you.
What are people if they are not drilling wells?
I am glad I have a job. But I wish we could do more for Oxy. That requires capital, since cost cutting efforts are maximized. We need to go back to drill and fix wells, be more active swapping or leasing leases
@ktn - so true. I hope “bare minimum” doesn’t get upset and whine online when his next salary increase and bonus reflect his bare minimum contribution.
