The railroad was a great place to work at one time. It's nothing but a sh–hole anymore. If you get a chance to get out go and never look back

It was just a tolerable place for the money before and the idea that someday maybe you’ll have the seniority to get a holiday off. But now that the promise of that is gone and Lance is at the helm it’s intolerable.
The union is sh– too they do nothing to better things only go with what the company wants it’s not strong at all.The union reps are all talk no action
The job isn’t that bad other than the weather, schedule, rules, requirement to break said rules, the pressure, manipulated numbers and quotas. They just wan’t us to leave and it does not matter how.
Shlthole Pacific railroad. That's a great new name. Someone would have to come up with a new motto. You can't be building America without employees.
When was UP ever a “great” place to work? During the (mercifully) short time that I was there, I didn’t meet one person at any level or in any department who actually enjoyed their job, and that was before PSR.
The last time I checked, the UP was never really that great to begin with. It was a job, and nothing more. It's difficult for some to get out and go when the railroad is all they've ever known.
