Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

We Know

When a person is paid to stay home because he/she is no longer welcome at the company, even though he/she hasn’t actually been terminated, is said person ever at liberty to disclose this information or must it always be kept a secret? Just wondering if being secretive (or trying to) is a personal choice or not.

National is only part time. Another site...interesting, I guess that is a possibility.

Hourly, company rules were broken, laws were violated. It does make sense that they’d make an attempt to keep it between the person and the company. Especially if it would have a negative effect for some. I didn’t know if this was standard procedure or more of the person trying to save their reputation, as always. Thanks.

I think this topic shouldn't be so secretive and non descriptive. Are we talking about salary or hourly? Did they do something to break a company rules or a law? Since you brought it up, finish by explaining!

Who gives a rats X#@? Why do care? They can do their thing and you yours.

If they are being paid, they are absolutely subject to an NDA on the terms thereof.
Translation = no one's business other than that party and GE.
