I have a leader, 2 positions up on me, who is just terrible. Extremely unpleasant, rude, treats us like peons, not collaborative, and just barks out orders endlessly.
This "leader" has only been at Enbridge for about 1 year and was directly brought in by her VP. Their background is with GE and they're management style, "the GE way" does not align with Enbridge's style or core values at all. So many examples I could give of demeaning actions towards me and others that just leaves one feeling totally demotivated and questioning one's capabilities. Never had issues with any other leader, over 10 years here, and always received high performance rankings. Gotten to the point where I dread logging in and kicking myself for not taking VMO.
Nothing she does is necessarily unethical so I'm not sure what course of action I could take. HR I've heard is useless and blackballs you if you complain. Ethics & Compliance? Going to her leader is not an option.
Appreciate any advice.
