Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

Verizon doesn’t care about us!!!

There is no employee experience. There is no work-home life balance! They take and they take and they take! I appreciate everything that was done during covid with being 100% paid through it all. I’m sure that everyone is happy about that. They come right back though and begin to take more. Our stores literally have no traffic but they are forcing us to go back 10-8 during a pandemic with cases rising. Who are we servicing? Verizon or the customers? Cause there sure aren’t any customers here. Stop sugar coating it and just tell us you want to buff 4th quarter numbers. Touchless? A joke!!! They care so much about this metric that keeps us safe all the while we are being forced to put screen protectors on nasty phones and forced to transfer content and touch basically everything. Where’s the safety in that? You already took money away from us with the commission change but you swear that we have the opportunity to make more. Impossible. Some stores hit double 1.25 and barely made 1100. That’s not even at risk for old structure. We were at a solid 4 day week with limited hours that was perfect and everyone was loving it. It gave us a true work and home life balance during a very uncertain and unsafe time! Verizon came through and ruined that like always. They even had the opportunity to keep us off on Sundays and make that a permanent change!! That could have saved a lot of face. Know what they did? Gave us an hour on Sundays. From where? Saturday. So the the hour we were granted on Saturdays was taken from us and put on Sundays. They are literally jerking us around. I’m surprised we arent suffering from whiplash! Ive been with Verizon for about 3 years now and it has been nothing but negative change after negative change! Obviously, I dont have to work here but it’s the situation I am in. Regardless, an employee shouldn’t feel like the company doesn’t care about their front line workers. That’s sad! I wouldn’t recommend Verizon to anyone honestly! This is my pulse survey!!! Frontiers decline is no fault but their own . Come On customers still getting 1.5 speeds in some states . While they put the blame on techs, pathetic speeds on failing copper cable which they refuse to repair . Got rid of their sh–ty product and went to Comcast great speeds now . I will say the Techs that came to my home were great but their hands are tied they aren’t responsible for FTR not investing $ .

VZ screwed FTR....now they bring in Stratton. The entire sale of FiOS to FTR was criminal under Obama's FCC! Several should be in front of Congress!

Omg you get paid to work on a day worth no customers even coming in and are overworked at that. Wow hard time. Hard times.
Maybe if customers actually came in you’d meet some of the tens of millions out of work who would just your spot.

Wow - sad that you're complaining about having to work. Be thankful you have a job to go to. Quit whining. Whine to the Walmart, Target, grocery stories, police, drs, nurses - all that have to work. they do it every day with pride. There are more flu deaths that the media doesn't tell you about. Take the necessary precautions as needed. That's the problem with this society. People like you want to be catered.
