Has anyone heard anything about hiring freezes lifting?

I hope they offer another vsp before Christmas. I am so ready to leave and start over. Oxy is decaying. Current culture is toxic with a bunch of insecured and worthless mid managers.
Hiring freezes at Oxy are a joke. No. There is no current one. But in the pass while they were on, the influx from Apache folks was non stoppable. Then a few were still hired based on “business needs”, which clearly stood for: sons, daughters, wife, pals, and the likes. The organization is bloated and VH doesn’t want to cut any more hoping on oil comeback or next guy doing it for her.
Lower the average age!
That gets you cudos from Wall Street even given that this is the oil industry and all we do is run software not write software or develop computer technology.
Even lowering the age by one year is desirable to investors, insurance rates and building leases on buildings. Plus it gives senior management younger people with which you can harass and have affairs.
Everybody wins so bend over and get prepared you people.
Oxy didn't need a hiring freeze.

Look at career section. Lots of job opening
Why would we want to hire more people. We already have way too many people sitting around doing nothing.
Yes, the freeze has been lifted. Oxy is hiring in all departments.

Restart the VSP's and see which way the river really flows
Never had a freeze. More like it needs executive approval before recruitment and / or offer.
