Yep, the loser mentioned here hits all those bullet points precisely. I’m sure Noble was glad to get rid of him—and with a smile.
Wall Street Journal article today states that coal is making a come back because power can now be generated cheaper than with natural gas. That’s right, gas prices have shot up, meaning the direction from the top that MRO only wanted to produce liquids was another bad call by the leadership. Maybe that’s what needs to change in the next round of layoffs?

The blowhards are all the guys that recruited each other from Noble. All technically feckless but bring lots of bluster!
Curious on the loudmouth that is part of the Bakken LT. Is this the same person that was recently part of the Permian and OKC LT? If so I have no idea how MRO has kept him around or any complaints been filed on him. He use to brag and laugh about when they were doing OKC layoffs, that he and a HR rep would just go into peoples office and close the door to mess with them and make them think they were about to be cut. Then they would laugh and leave. One of the worse “leaders” I have ever worked with.
I'd have to agree w/ the OP on this one. Granted, every group has their share of good/bad leadership, but the one in particular called out here is one of, if not the, worst I've seen in my last 20yrs in the industry across several service and operating companies.
