Layoffs all over town with businesses continuing to collapse and now Campbells on Victory Drive is letting another 325 workers go and closing. Global Payments has destroyed the last lifeline of employment locally that offered jobs with a living wage and the city will pay dearly as local city officials have done nothing but sit on their hands and collect a paycheck.

Time is now. MAJOR layoffs/cuts coming in November in the Columbus, Ga location. This will be a huge impact. Not good at all. I’m sorry folks.
I don't think the Columbus Ga area will survive economically over the long haul with layoffs,covid,lack of any kind of leadership etc locally as the city was barely limping along as it was.
I expect a major flood of foreclosures,defaults and poverty in coming months and possibly years along with an exodus of citizens fleeing in hopes of finding a job elsewhere.
I cannot say I am surprised.
