Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Dolan took the money plain and simple. The company was not worth what he got for it. i knew the new owners would do this I read up on them immediately, This is why we tried to unionize, that was the only protection we had, but the clowns listened to your dmb as$ management and fell for the okey doke, I eventually landed in the Union while the rest of the clowns ran away to spectrum or eventually was laid off, so called voluntary retirement, you couldn’t even get together, and Try to save your jobs Here’s the excuses they gave. I’m. Good, I speak for myself, my numbers are good, they won’t touch me they need me, really pathetic. Here you are complaining about the inevitable, I am embarrassed by the shop I was in the way they destroyed It felt like my time there was wasted mad years there and they punked out at the end believing in liars instead of their coworker, stay safe soldiers who still here put your head up you did not punk out like all the others stay blessed, I am done venting 😡😡😡

If u see your house, is it your responsibility to see how the new owner takes care of the house and treat the neighbors? NO! So why is it Dolan’s job to see how Altice treats you.

If u did your research then u would have retired before Altice took over and went to work for Spectrum .

I feel for u guys but it is not Dolan’s responsibility how the new owner treats their employees. He only cares about the new owner paying for the company. Dolan only cared about the News 12 workers anyway.

I agree, Dolan is the reason we are in this mess. You cant tell me he didn't have an idea that this was going to happen. Even we knew when they said altice was buying us. All you had to do is google them and see how awful the company was.

This company does not understand the meaning of loyalty.Treat the employees right and the will jump threw hoops for you. Mr.Dolan(Charles) did that and I felt like family.When ever the company neede d something extra I would do it because I felt like it was our business.Altice has a lot to learn. By the way Cablevision was profitable even with all the extras

hahaha go union. yea, they laid guys off WITH A UNION and then 2 months later it's "oh we broke contract, you want to come back?" If any union had any smarts it never would have happened in the first place. the hell with the company and the unions. i got laid off in May and got a call to come back....thanks but no thanks.

I was laid off by these mo–ns in May. I refuse to call excell or any other contractor who does work for them. They think this is the best way to build the company and everyone can see the failures they’ve had . Customers have had it as well. They can claim “Best in class service” but many investigations and lawsuits are saying otherwise . Go union!!!

We will all eventually need to look for other work as I'm sure you all know. The plan has always been to get rid of in-house and have these garbage contractor's run the entire field service department. They will never bring guys back and even if they did, who would work for what they are offering and deal with the kind of sh– we deal with every single day. I've been looking desperately for a different job and hopefully something pops up soon, I can't do this anymore.
