We were in a habit dating back 100+ years, called face to face meetings.
In truth, we all know how out of date that is, and I doubt anyone could make a successful case for expending all that time and money to do what could be done for free with the touch of a mouse and with zero extra time spent
So, when a time has come for a major change, all that's required is some external force to give it a nudge and the change is made.
That nudge was called COVID, and now everyone is conducting meetings online and reaping the benefits and seeing just how easy and efficient it is.
