Which assets? Permian, EF, saw the bulk of layoffs
Correct. Keeping some real good folk to tend to the assets pending disposal. Which could be a good long while in today’s climate. Good for them just hope they negotiated the existing severance package or for sure job slots for themselves. But could be wrong but thinking everything north and west was sold already except for Wamsutter. Unless the IKAV fell thru?
On Ops keeping North and West - I’m guessing they plan to sell and want to include talent to ensure smooth operations during the transition.
Just about every area has some going. Exit dates vary. Interesting that Op’s is keeping both north and west areas.
Which teams were effected? I know eagleford had layoffs
Not exactly but pretty close to the typical package we have seen over the years.
What does severance package look like?
Now that notices are official does anyone have any idea about timing to receive the full severance packet from HR?
BPX has been planning much of this Sep lay-off way before the pandemic hit. It would have actually happened sooner but for the slow up due to rolling out the new “reimagined” strategy. All complicated by the pandemic and fallout. Save every paycheck and whether you stay or go try to find purpose and humor with each day while planning your own future.
Why can’t the rest of bp do it this quickly? People are hanging in suspense while leaders who don’t even know them assign them a “score” on made up criteria. Pull the trigger and get it done already.
Coming from another company which was layoff-prone. I found BPX to be far more communicative and compassionate.
Our company makes the Keystone Cops look like brain surgeons!!!!!!
Actually, 26% is lower than anticipated. Best wishes to all. Prayers for replacement jobs!
