Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Empire

This is getting unbearable.
Managers are rude, belittling, cold.
Mark P must have enough complaints to terminate him if Optum cares about us.
We are asked to do things to manipulate metrics. We’re not doing nursing! Idk what to even call this cooking of the books for NYSHIP.
ESs are being reduced while RNs increase?
Complaints to Amber fall on deaf ears.
It’s strange to be so hostile to get us to quit while hiring more new nurses?
Does anyone have any idea what’s going on?

we all need to take it to the next level. let's all work hard and keep our noses to that american company grind stone. it's all about working hard and be a corporate simp./company man. let's all cheer, and say one for all, all for none. and read those mission statements on the walls with the smiley diversity faces. it's all about that teammate and call and response chanting. go team. go hard work. go out the door for more earnings. opdumb was the us. vile, empty, and mainly corrupt. and we all pulled down our pants (metaphorically-of course US-ians) and happily participated in the company's propaganda.

Keep track of the manipulation of numbers and any other proof you can or these unethical things you’re asked to do.
if told verbally by management, then follow up with an email afterwards and ask questions like you’re confused per that conversation! Paper trail!
File an Ethics complaint and contact whoever else you can in regards to nursing board etc. You're protected as a whistleblower, trust me!
If they retaliate at all once you contact Ethics then add onto your case, plus that’s retaliation keep your paper trail! It comes in handy! ;)

As a US employee, unlike almost every other country, you have very few, if any employment - employee rights.

What you say about manipulating metrics is extremely alarming. That sounds incredibly unethical if not illegal. That nursing should be, in any way, connected to metrics is disgusting. These are people's lives. I think you should report this to a professional board of nursing–or something. Don't know who. But this says it all about what this company stands for.

Hostile work environment. Very common in the US empire. Make the employees' lives miserable and hope they quit. Then hire newbies who are clueless eager -beavers, or temps that work w/o any benies. Profit was their God.
