Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

Enough

I have been documenting atrocities against animals and some employees for the last 3.5 years of my lengthy career. Everything is timestamped and dated leaving no way to blame just a disgruntled worker once I begin revealing things. I know how everyone feels about "that guy", but the in-park leadership has been beyond toxic for too long. Originally I was doing this for one purpose but after reading so many awful stories on here you will all be on my mind for the next few months. Remember that retaliation is illegal and is rampant in the park. The media will help if you are brave enough, I truly believe that the court of public opinion is the only way to stop the abuse. Good luck everyone.

I worked in Zoological for many years in a leadership position. The animals always received first class care. The park may have changed, but the animal care professionals at SeaWorld rank among the best in the world. I never saw atrocities or I would have stood up immediately for change. You may no want to be “that guy”, but your post suggests that you are. Animal welfare first and foremost. I posting anonymously, but I stand by this statement and would put my reputation up against it.

Probably didn't report because it didn't happen to him directly, like me. Maybe the people it happened to did not want it reported for fear of reprisals.

Why continue to work there and not report anything for 3.5 years if you witnessed these “atrocities” taking place? You talk about once you reveal things, but you haven’t said anything specific.

I worked at SWSD for 11 years in PO. I never saw abuse of the animals by witnessed too many to count instances of abuse of power in leadership. From leads to Supervisors to Managers. I was briefly in leadership and saw and heard first hand the above people talk about Ambassadors horribly. Unfortunately I did not document it. Leadership did a lot of things that would have gotten them fired if reported. But leadership is a tight clique and they protect their own. HR is full of people from other departments in the Park and protect their friends. It's despicable. I wish they would gut all leadership and start over.

You sir/ma'am, are horribly inaccurate. These animals at all of the parks receive far better care than any of the employe... Sorry, ambassadors receive. All zoological and most non zoo people know and understand how much the animals mean to everyone.

Read a bit slower, I said I have been documenting for 3.5 years during my lengthy career (over a decade)

World class vet care is nothing more than a slogan. I can and will assure you of that.

The theory of "coming up short"...I actually achieved my dream, had you read my post I explained that everything has time and date stamps over the course of years. That is not the behavior of a random park ops kid that "didn't get what they wanted"

While you guys sit here going around in circles about unions, I was simply suggesting that you use your stories for the public to form their opinions. Have fun protesting Dave and Busters and talking about striking which is all I have read. I'm sure that will make a massive impact. Peace.

The animals most definitely get better treatment than the people. Just think about this they never lost medical. Get with it 3.5 years.

id–t, those animals are treated like royalty. You are clearly someone who never got what they wanted at work or came up short and now you're trying to get attention using the animals. That's the lowest you can go. Good luck.

I'm curious as to what atrocities you've witnessed as I've only seen positive treatment of animals at multiple parks.
