Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

Favoritism has been in the veins of BH right from its inception which was blatantly demonstrated at CTC in Celle

I have visited every BHGE location in Aberdeen multiple times over the years, i also spent several months at BHGE in Celle, my own thoughts are that most Aberdeen locations, BoD and Kirkhill especially were bady run with staff that did not seem to care much, Celle was far superior in every way with shop floor and management taking a pride in their work.

Looks like the wheels have come off this project. Next up will be more layoffs followed by chapter 11 and bankruptcy.

I saw this happen on my own tech team. The manager had no idea what was going on in the codebase. He never looked at it and would give the minions who kissed his arse the benefit of the doubt. Over the course of a year they totally destroyed the old codebase and couldn't get the new codebase to work. Never once did anyone on the team confirm that it calculated anything worth a damn. How did the manager get away with this? Because his own manager was too busy playing political games with other managers and never checked in to see that the team was creating a working product.

Favourites were always a issue in baker even more so when pay off came about kept all the arse lickers and got rid of people who actually did the work Less you did the more management loved you no wonder they are where they are now

aberdeen kept their favorites and let go the top employees and look what happened. Lost work, closed businesses, hundreds lost their jobs. One of the best examples of incompetent management ever seen. How much money did y’all lose?

For years Baker and GE have cut American jobs and saved EU jobs due to protectionism. No sympathy from this side of the pond. We’ve cut far more than you, I think anyone over here would be happy if any facility only cut 150 out of 1k. Dozens if not hundreds of facilities have been completely shut down. It does s—, but it’s reality and you guys have gotten off relatively easy comparatively. It’s the reality of the world we’re in now.
