Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Can we get rid of Dan now?

In 2019, Dan earned $2,996,242 in total compensation from Teradata. He leads the services business which has been a disaster for years.

A skilled third grader would have a much more positive impact to TDC results.

Oh and in 2018 he made 2.5M and in 2017 he made 3.2M. How is this possible on horrid results?

Does this go back to rigged exec compensation that Forbes outline in the article about not buying the TDC turn around story?

I am so confused, why are shants such a controversial topic that my comment keeps getting deleted? I will grant you they have a place in a relaxing outdoor environment, but unless you work at rei not in the office.

"Seriously though, how can any business in such a mess for years pay such salaries to execs?" Simple. Collusion with a complicit board of directors and absence of activist shareholders.

Leave the man alone... he has an army of kids to feed. Seriously though, how can any business in such a mess for years pay such salaries to execs?

No doubt that the exec severance payout far outstrips another year of salary and bonus payments....

His presence costs much more than just the salary as services exist outside of gtm where they belong...

This is long overdue .... this ineffective and technically not there grandfather has to go. He has been around for too long with nothing to show. How can he be compensated in the millions with revenue losses and layoff's?

Effective leadership is too much to ask for in TD’s executive team.
