I am begging all of us reading this who still work at Fossil, it’s time for us to leave. A lot of good people have left (voluntarily) and a lot of good people were let go. There is no reason to stay. The culture is dead. The leaders have no confidence or trust from the employees. The company can not compete. No one is buying a gen 5 smart watch.

Either way we should not become comfortable or complacent. Surviving the layoffs this year is not a guarantee that our jobs will continue being secure in this environment.
Even if there was a severance 'package'...which I highly doubt...you wouldn't be able to apply for unemployment right away. Or at the very least you would have to report it which would lower the benefit amount you can receive for at least the first 2 weeks. Then given the current circumstances, the wait for the benefits to actually start is running a good 1-2 months behind. For your sake and the sake of your family, find something else and don't just sit and WAIT to be outsourced...er, laid off!
Ha....good severance package! How about 2 weeks... maybe zero! Wise up people!
I don’t see how there will not be another large round of layoffs, and more jobs being outsourced by the end of the year/beginning of next year when the company will have not hit their unrealistic financial goals (that is pretty much a forecasted given in this environment).
I would work on a plan to leave soon or wait to get laid off and get a severance packet, which will probably not be as good as those that got laid off this year!
It is pretty well over. Put your plan B into motion.
