Returning Work From Home Kit

Has anyone been able to return the work from home kit (desk, chair, shredder, etc)? I was only sent a box to send my computer back.

At what point should I assume the company doesn’t want the furniture, printer, or shredder back? I am planning on moving soon and would like to avoid moving these items as well if possible.

Would give up and move on–Tom Hanks Disease or not. They were so full of it , it was n't even funny. Lie after lie after lie. Ear candy and string along team mates with someday talk from the human slave department. It was more PR-marketing from the corporation. Move on and get happy getting another job.

I quit in January (right b4 covid) bad move. I contacted HR and they confirmed that I'm eligible for rehire. I've applied for over 10 positions and all I'm getting is rejection letters. Does anyone know if this normal or should I just give up?

When I was BSL, I tried recycling furniture with Ingram and they wouldn't take it. They said they were instructed by corporate to "throw it in the dumpster". I've never seen them make any attempt to retrieve anything but the PC and any Cisco equipment.

I was told by the department admin a few years ago when I was first hired and this was my first telecommute job that if I’m in the role for 6 months, all the office equipment is mine to keep. Only laptop needs to be returned.

Makes sense, the cost for them to keep track of used office equipment, storage and reissuing to others probably isn’t worth it.

I was only sent a box to return the laptop. I reached out to several people including HR trying to return my two monitors. It seems no one cares. Almost 3 months later and I still have them.

I was told in February that only the computer needed to be returned. I'd probably email your BSL about it once. If no reply... it's all yours to yard sale or whatever.

For these us corporate lackey 'kits' maybe Sell it online if the corporation doesn't respond. Don't be a corporate simp. Do the bare minimum and leave. They only love money, they. do. not. care. about. you.
