Thread regarding Salesforce.com Inc. layoffs

Happy talk no more

After years of "Ohana" happy-talk, thousands are being laid off in the middle of a pandemic so Marc and shareholders can make more money, on top of the millions they already have.

Can't help but notice they're letting the experienced teams go, but keeping new, inexperienced employees in low-cost regions.

I feel bad for everyone, but worse for the customers who are used to a certain level of service.

"Ohana" indeed. Aside from being a disgusting bit of cultural appropriation, it's malicious nonsense. Your real family can't fire you.

*billions. On top of the billions they already have. Benioff's net worth is up ~$1.9 billion over the last couple days, last I heard.

But let's donate millions to other organizations impacted by the pandemic to show our focus on social responsibilities. And let's hire high-profile entertainers and celebrities to numb the employees. Drew Barrymore, I really appreciated your valuable insight of being a mother during these pressing times ... NOT!

West Coast should be culled. It's INSANE to keep that talent when you can farm factory fresh ex-SV talent at half the cost once they move to Austin. Because they're all going to f—ing Austin. So begins "The Great Salary Deprecation of 2020"
