Yes standard operating procedure. They activated the hurricane ballast systems on 6 out of 10 of the floaters so the facilities can submerge (except for the helideck) while it passes. Less wind damage this way.
Yes, Oxy stock is down 80%+ since last April in anticipation of this hurricane.
Anything that makes it worse for Oxy has to be good.
The hurricane cannot do more damage than Oxy management has done. Just stating the obvious. Oxy stock is down again.
Sad how investors believe more in Oxy than Oxy employees do. Just saying ...
The PowerPoint area of the GOM isn't affected by the hurricane. I can assure you of that.
