Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

Any grumblings when the next wave of layoffs at RAS are?

Something tells me next week something is going down. Does anybody have insider info as to what Pedro and Co are up to?

All of you saying where the next layoffs are going to be? How can you confirm it? Do you have a legit source? Are you part of those discussions or are you just spreading rumors?

Zedi will disappear regardless whether they are merged with OSI

If Zedi is not merged into OSI, Zedi will disappear.

Zedi will be merged into OSI. Emerson paid too much for OSI. They cannot abandon OSI. Zedi cloud scada has limited appeal, only Canadian producers and some small US producers. They don’t have major producers as customers.

Surprisingly Zedi will collapse so soon. Poor leadership.

So it’s confirmed that Zedi will see the brunt of the next wave of layoffs. OSI which Emerson just acquired has better cloud scada than Zedi.

RAS is already part of PSS except Pedio reports to Jim but this will change when Jim retires next year and Ron takes over. No?

RAS will eventually fold into PSS. No reason to have the useless leader Pedro Dasicola run it to the ground.

Won’t be next week but in October. The main hits are Watertown and Atlanta. The plan is to eventually close Atlanta office. With less than $2M revenue, there is no downside to closing the office and hiring in Houston.

Business is bad in North America for RAS base business i.e. RTUs and Flow Computers. It is also bad for Zedi and Geofields. So, the next wave will be in October after the board meeting with Lal. It will cover RAS in Watertown, Zedi in Calgary and Geofields in Atlanta. Biggest hit will be Geofields where business has fallen from $10m to less than $2m. Watertown will be getting rid of the dead woods. All these will happen in Oct/Nov.
