Doug has always said the employees are the most valuable resource. Then he sends out that video saying the majority of us are lazy and incompetent. Sounds like we aren’t that great of a resource. So why care anymore. They don’t care about us.

Where did I say you must work go above and beyond? 🙄 I’m very annoyed by some employees. We know some people who don’t even work the minimum requirements of 9hrs. So I hear ya, Mr. Lawler! That’s all.
You can tell which posts are from the boot lickers in HR. 😂. Little do they know you all are outsourcing HR soon to PayCom. Thanks for the job security.

I get my paycheck and i will do the barebones required for that paycheck. Many of us were going above and beyond. Some of you id–ts below don’t realize that. We have no reason to go above and beyond when the CEO of the company thinks we are all terrible employees.
So what? It’s a true statement! No, it’s not every employee, but I know some lazy @$$ out there who are actually NOT working at all.
Also, I don’t care what he said about us.
1) I’m not the incompetent one who can’t work from home.
2) I still get paychecks

Who are the “they” that are paying me? Certainly not Dougie or Frankie. Those two might be able to fire me, but their name isn’t on my direct deposits. They’re more concerned with their own golden parachutes anyway. Do the investors pay me? The ones challenging CHK in bankruptcy filings and pushing for pieces of the company to be sold off? Who exactly am I supposed to work for at this point?
Answer: My allegiance lies with me. Do just enough not to get on a sh–list, and the rest can f— off.
Nope, they don’t care about any employees in personal level (that applies to any companies), but they are still paying you, which means you still have to work for what you get paid. Did you have to take a huge pay cut? No? Then, you are supposed to work in the same manner.
Chesapeake has been pretty generous. You should go to the lay-off.com page for Exxon or some other bigger corporations and read their employees comments. Pretty nasty. Always do not forget to appreciate what you got.
Honestly, you’re correct that they don’t care about you personally. No matter what blowhard corporate bravado gets spewed, you need to look out for yourself. Count your paychecks, save what you can, and avoid being on anyone’s sh–list when layoffs routinely come around.

Listen to these brown nosed (hr) below. They want us to keep working for an a–hole. Management has not been understanding at all during covid. Most were told they had to prove a past medics issue to work from home. Didn’t matter how you feared it you better have half a lung removed.

DL would not have said that we need to all get to work if he didn’t have a reason to make that statement. Might not be you. Might not be me. But obviously somebody was not working when they were supposed to be on the clock. Mgmt has been super understanding throughout this entire pandemic. Our future depends on us all giving our best effort.
What a tragedy.
Maybe they should try the old tried and true way. Lead by example.
