Last time Smith from mechanical was here, we had around 100 folks laid off.

So i guessing Vena didnt stop by our North Platte shop. I guess we safe from the chopping block again! Thank you Mr. Vena for believing in us.
Exercise. Smith just want to jog back and forth to the service track. He can’t sit still. Givens will catch him.
Rumor has it Vena is in DeSoto MO today, one of the last HBO car shops on the system. Is this the end of UP fixing their own cars?
Where ever vena goes, the shop will close, massive layoffs, he shows up scouts the place out, dont even talk to the craftsmen, a few weeks later huge cuts time after time. He dont give a s**t about you or your family.
When's the last time the COO has gone anywhere, and recommended to bring people back? NEVER! The last time I checked, the OR was sitting just above 61%. It used to be 59.4 or something like that. The OR increased, which didn't please him. If he's traveling, then he's looking to make cuts somewhere. It is just that simple.
If Vena is coming to North Platte shop is only to make plans to call some guys back. Shop is very busy and we need make up for all the derailments going around and to make up for Jenks not opening up any time soon. Any one else heard of calling guys back?
He was supposed to come way before this, but corona hit and they got travel restrictions placed on them. Besides, if they want to furlough, it doesn't have to be in person, I'm pretty sure they can do a conference call.
its the car departments fault for all yhese derailments. They highball everything because the are scared to lose there jobs and have no more union to back them up
They still won’t admit that this stupid Harrison idea (PSR) is to blame!!
I've been hearing some stories about other executives going to different locations as well. I heard yesterday CoVena-19 is headed to somewhere up north. It would be interesting to know why. Executives don't just travel to random places to say hi. Oh yeah don't forget that they'll have to answer for why they put 2 large trains on the ground, and took out a bridge with another one. Who knows, maybe they're canvassing spots for the great apology tour.
