Yesterday evening all managers had their stories sorted and told everyone to ignore labels. Manager didnt say anything about layoff to be specific. All the questions from team were either, ignore the label, i dont know who created it and why created it, anything more than this can't be confirmed so watch out for official news.
I admire your optimism. Your manager says its a mishap by HR to select a single BU and send them return labels without any forethought. You must be a special kind of fool.
