Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Hey ADP, A Question for you...

If the "transformation plan" was your plan, and it was the way to make ADP more efficient and profitable, then why after 4 years off layoffs of your best employees and changes to building locations, responsibilities, etc. has it failed so miserably?

Clearly, it is not working. The clients are unhappier than ever and are leaving in flocks. The newly hired employees are unqualified and without proper skills. The products are now even in more shambles than ever. You are now without the best needed knowledge base of your business and products since you pushed them out. The market analysts are all negative on ADP for the near, mid and long term for ADP. And the stock is way down from a year ago and continues to fall in a market where the major indices are all hitting new highs almost daily.

And all of that is BEFORE the COVID-19 and the future eradication of the business and effects are counted.

It is a CEO's job to responsibly have the experience and ability to avoid all of these type issues for the shareholders and the business. A CEO should have the insight to understand these things and not cause harm to the business. It is very evident this CEO is unfit to lead and needs to be removed from his position. When is ADP going to do the right thing and replace this CEO?

I would agree: it is time for a new CEO and new leadership. The decisions and direction the company has attempted for 4 years has put ADP in a really bad situation and clients are hurting severely as a result.

It may be too late to save the company. Too much damage has been done with the eradication of the company's knowledge base in getting rid of the most experienced and talented employees. ADP's clients are on a roll. On a roll away from ADP that is. This company may survive in some shape and form, but it is going to be a shadow of its former self. The ineptness of Carlos is amazing in its incompetence.

How is Carlos spinning the big decline in stock price and large drop in new customers? Pretty sure he IS spinning it and not taking the truth as it is his solely his fault and his policies doing damage. You are right, the board needs to fire Carlos Rodriquez and get a qualified CEO for this company!

So True! The board needs to man up and fire the CEO for his failed policies and harm he inflicted on the company, employees, and clients!

Why should he get a pass because of COVID-19? His policies screwed the company before COVID-19. If the board does not do something about him, then they are really really stupid themselves (or corrupt too).

The board will most likely give Carlos a pass this year due to Covid. So at least another year of his reign. Will ADP survive that long??

Yes, it is too late for the X-"CON" team to fix anything. Watch that doorknob as you exit Carlos!

OP .....” When is ADP going to do the right thing and replace this CEO?”

When does ADP ever do the right thing?

ADP used to be a fine company. Not the best ever but pretty good. Then Bill Ackerman comes and shakes things up. The board decided to go with Carlos and his team instead of Pershing for the "operational efficiency" journey. After making tall promises and struggling to execute to a plan, hiring expensive consulting companies and losing some folks, the situation is not better but probably worse. Instead the board should have either gone with Ackerman for transformation or Carlos for status quo instead of lofty transformation goals.

Carlos and his team were way in over their head with the transformation - understandable. It takes not just advice from consulting companies but understanding where the inefficiencies are, how to solve for them, at what cost, actually doing the work and understanding what it takes to do the transformation instead of just looking for people reduction. Maybe the monthly layoffs are also part of the strategy to keep people on their toes and even encourage people to leave and then restrict back-filling those positions to reduce cost.

Is it too late for the XCOM team to now go back to what they and rest of ADP knows best - is serving the clients really well instead of losing the heart of the company to achieve that leaner, meaner more efficient org with significantly reduced list of clients instead?
