Never going to happen...
VRips and SERO’s are a sure sign of layoffs and SERO’s are very rare. So first VRIPs are negotiated to save other members Jobs. If GE Wants 200 gone and 10 take VRIP If offered that leaves 190 layoffs.
It's not early retirement! Its VRIPS for 60+ year olds that don't want to retire (when they actually can now) Early retirements are a regular SERO or SERO-30. Regular SERO is 55 years old with at least 25 years in the company, while a SERO-30 is 50 years old with 30 years with the company....in other words the old term is "Golden-80" programs.....55+25=80 or 50+30=80 for those with GE math skills :O
Quite common offer in the Healthcare segment.
75% of annual base wages offered in 1st Qtr to retire early.
The basically pay you for the whole year to leave at the end of the 1st Qtr if age 60 and above
It will happen !
How would that make it "one time" , they've done this before...
