Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Captains leaving a sinking ship ?

News came that DS, the leader of the EMEA region, is leaving TD 'to pursue opportunities beyond TD', after being with the company for over thirty years. It feels as if the TD ship is sinking. Another executive in EMEA, RR, has left the company as well in the past month 'to pursue other opportunities'. Ominous signs ?

He also lost the Sainsbury’s account to snowflake. This was his so called big win back story at GSX.

He left before he was pushed. He knew the writing was on the wall after he failed to land a deal with Maersk. Crashed and burned Mav.

NH being considered as a replacement.

Why does Teradata not simply build a Snowflake clone? Surely the engineering talent must still exist within the company to do this, probably with a more mature optimized resulting product. SF still lacks basic features like indexes, believe it or not.

Good sign.
Seldom executive are "fired" from their position, it's always nicely wrapped so that it doesn't look like someone took the wrong decision to put them there.

OR stepped down, right?

Btw RR was all in with the k–ler strategy for the professional services.
Not sure it was a company loss that she left.
