Datrium acquisition price

I am curious to know what VMware paid to acquire Datrim. Any guess or info. Is it $1B Acquisition.

What ever it was, it was too much. turns out due diligence wasn't done. a large proportion of existing Datrium customers and a significant proportion of the sales pipeline was for desktops with O365, which can't be recovered in VMware Cloud on AWS due to MS licensing restrictions... someone screwed up big on this one.

Acquisition cost was laying off lot of existing employees. Someone I know and their team including management was impacted yesterday in company layoffs. A lesson for the rest of us. We are all disposable, just like that. Poof.

If it is $1B, you would have heard the number. It is not more than $100M or just pay debt to investors as so many other startup stocks.

I don't think 1B because it would have to be disclosed. May be around $300-$400m
