It's a near certainty that you will be laid off at least once in your lifetime. Knowing this, what are you doing to prepare for the day when you're notified that your position has been eliminated? Do you have emergency savings to cover 6 months' expenses? Are you ready to find a new job tomorrow? Do you buy assets instead of liabilities? Do you have a side hustle? Or is hope your only strategy, thinking that your position is untouchable and too "valuable"?

Is that all you have to say about my comment? So what if it sounds "ghetto." Does "after-hours entrepreneur" sounds more respectable to you? The only thing I want to advance is my financial safety net, so when (not if) I'm laid off, I can weather the financial storm. Ever hear of FIRE (Financial Independence Retire Early)? Look into it if you haven't.
I hate the term “side hustle” it seriously sounds ghetto! Stop acting ghetto and maybe just maybe you will advance a bit. 🙄🙄
