Last store in Maine closing, only 61 Sears stores remaining

https://www.pressherald.com/2020/07/24/sears-is-closing-at-the-maine-mall/

The Sears store at The Maine Mall dates to the mall’s creation in 1971.

Sears owns its property at the mall, along with a restaurant site in the parking lot that houses Mexican eatery On the Border, so the company would have to make any determination regarding whether it would sell the site or sign a tenant to take up occupancy.

Now, only 61 Sears locations are expected to remain open after another round of closures announced this month.

We've known about this for weeks after Sears posted ads for store closing backroom and cashier jobs.

It's good to know that Eddie blew $21m on the Hometown stores so his buttbuddy shills can claim technicalities on how many of the 1.1% of the stores he has yet to shut down. Losing $10B takes concentrated effort!

Title of post should specify "full line stores" to support the claim of 61 Sears stores remaining open.

The article says 61 Sears will remain, but the number is really either 67 (if you include the small formats) or 59 (if you don't).
