Sorry about the complaining but there’s a big problem. No one in IT knows what is going on. The is not common communication on the IT priorities. DK and the VP seems to all have a different message. Lay-offs are being held over everyone’s head. The new changes that were made don’t seem to have fixed the issues. People are told they don’t have the right skills and there is no investment in training. I asked my manager and they asked our VP and told us there is no money for training people to skill people up. Feels like there is a lot of infighting and politics among the CIO and VPs.
DK if you read this please fix. A lot of us are miserable and don’t know what is going on. I know we have to change but a lot of us feel like we have no idea what is happening or why. CareFirst has become toxic and in some ways a culture of hostility is being made. We are tired of hearing there is no money and we can’t hire but we still use all the consultants that come in for your pet projects. We still don’t have a PMO and don’t see the woman running it doing anything to make it better. The the people I support think we are not engaged and spending enough time. There’s not enough time and we need help!
