You realize at $13 its more than doubled from 2 months ago. That means, to everyone else but you, high expectations. In fact its $14. Then what will blow your mind is all other stocks that have anything to do with oil. They all went down too!!!! Read a newspaper dumb–s!

So your logic is that because our rival, who is 50% larger than us and also lost a billion more than we did in their last earnings call is laying off more people we will automatically do it too just to say we did it too? And I’m the stupid one?

The only reason to lay-off workers is to right size your company for the market not to compete for who can lay-off more people just because. Yes, when our CEO says to investors “we are almost done right sizing ourselves for the future” I believe him. You know why? Because that’s his job to run the company to make money for investors. It would serve no purpose to hide laying off workers from Investors. Investors like knowing the company they own is being ran by people that do what they need to to remain profitable.

if you believe what they are saying on the calls you are freaking stupid. there will be more. it will be a race to see who can get the smallest as soon as possible. hal needs to consolidate all of the psls. way too many vp's around. soon everyone will be a vp.

Precious poster, if you did any kind of research you would know that Schlumberger has reported that so far this year they have only completed 40% of their reductions, hence why they have 21K more to let go of. We are pretty much done according to the latest earnings report. We are 75% complete with just overseas and a few small real estate items left to complete ours.

Does anyone know what is happening to the scientists at North Belt? My friend had an interview scheduled for a Data Scientist job but has not heard from them.

Most of northbelt only fills out reports to keep their bosses busy and happy. They are running HAL into the ground.

They will lay off everyone who can spell Halliburton. Left with no experienced millennials.

• Hi Mr. White Collar. I'm glad your company laptop and WFH capability make you feel empowered. But yes, they are generating what little revenue is left. You guys are so good at your job that they had to bring Microsoft and Accenture in to do it for you.

I’d argue there are far more people making money for the company than the very few field crews that are left. Yes at the end of the process there is a crew that has to run the tools but those tools wouldn’t exist without the thousands of other employees that had to do their jobs in order for that tool to get to the field and work properly.

• In my nearly 10 years with the company I saw very little change or innovation in our tools or equipment. Most of what we have and use in the field was generated by white collar workers who were dumped by Halliburton like yesterdays garbage 20-30 years ago. Most of what happens now is just rebranding of the same old junk so you can have a job, and so that naive Wall Street analysts can be mesmerized by the word "digital" and adding "I" to everything. Can't wait for the iQ10 and iCruiseX.0. You're largely resting on your predecessor's laurels. Work Properly? That's hilarious. Very little of Halliburton's tools and equipment work as advertised. Good luck emailing or calling anyone in Houston for help when you need something outside of bankers hours. That was a problem way before COVID.

We ALL make the company money. Just because you turn a wrench at the END of the process doesn’t mean you are the only one that matters.
