Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Walmart closed on thanksgiving

When did Walmart become a better company to work for than CVS?? They will be closed on Thanksgiving. Who wants to bet that managers will be at all CVS stores on thanksgiving and the weekend before.

I never knew Walmart and CVS were competitors. Walmart is the leading retailer in the world in just about all categories.

I think it is a valid point because when Walmart has a better home-work balance than CVS, it’s bad. I’ve worked with department managers from Walmart who came to CVS in the past and told me about how bad it was and how CVS was much better.

Walmart has always been better than CVS. Your opinion of walmart being better because they will be closed is stupid though.

Your comment is so ignorant it doesn’t even make sense when it’s read (that not than btw). What you said is funny because rx managers who can’t figure out how to be a manager....ie hire, do payroll, deliver evaluations, coachings, can’t keep up with training....really anything that has to do with HR....not to mention all the misfills....we are hiring pharmacists that can’t even match the pill on the screen to the pills in the visual verification tray....I think a preschooler can match things....The original comment had nothing to do with the topic you took it to. If you want the pharmacy open and the front store is so useless maybe we should keep the pharmacy open on Thanksgiving and just use drive thru only...?...

People are less likely to die on Thanksgiving because they can't buy their Fruit Loops at Walmart, so Walmart can close. Really, FS is just an add-on profit center, just like snacks at a gas station. Always has been always will be. Even Walmart gets squeezed by Amazon. Corporate has realized CVS FS employees with lots of fixed costs and real estate isn't making money, and employees aren't really doing anything than bright 10th graders with a bit of training could do, and are eventually going to get paid like it. Can you see how much these kids are learning with YouTube these days? Better than lots of CVS managers with JuCo and DeVry degrees. With lots of product, Target, Amazon, and Walmart can afford to pay employees more, and CVS. . . can't. If you want to get paid more with better benefits, Walmart has been hiring a ton with all the business COVID-19 has been bringing them.
