• Must have 24 months of experience with Altice Labs
• Install, Turnup, Test and Provision FTTx optical fiber network adhering to engineered design.
• Work with the Network Operations Center for final acceptance and testing of all newly installed equipment and rings.
• Work with Fiber Optic related test equipment including OTDR, SOR, IOLM, Spectrum Analyzer.
• Perform site survey of remote locations to ensure quality installation of all racks, equipment power plants, fiber cable, etc. Report any and all defects to the OSP Project Engineer.
• Label and tag all equipment and cabling according to Network Engineering Diagrams.
• Perform advanced analysis and troubleshooting of problems / issues while assisting the NOC and customers.
• Ability to interpret design plans & construction drawings in order to find pertinent information, adjust cable routes, slack and splice locations, etc. and then update the system of record based on their findings
• Understanding of telecom infrastructure, both fiber and copper.
• Familiarity with OSP engineering and/or construction design in an urban environment

I have been offered a job doing FTTX in California for Altice do they even have FTTX there? Anyone know how expensive it is there to live? Lake Tahoe area?
Universal tech heard that was the goal five years ago from my director. One more thing he told me coming true.
