Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

RE - only a high school graduate?

Did you know that the Chairman of the Board/CEO/President of HyVee, Randy Edeker has ONLY a high school education?

Look it up, he is a
Graduate of English Valley High School. That’s it. Shouldn’t someone with this many titles and this much responsibility be expected to have a BUSINESS DEGREE at the very least? Maybe this explains a lot!

Look it up before the info gets scrubbed from the internet. If years of experience and service weren’t enough to save anybody else, maybe if he had been culled from the herd a long time ago HyVee could have saved itself a lot of heartache and business mistakes. Just sayin’.

I worked for have for over 35 years and worked all the holidays . I never complained along with other people who were lucky and proud to work for the company. Back in 1981 when I was hired you were a top notch worker or you didn’t stay employed. Hyvee had the best of the best for help. If someone knew you worked for HyVee they knew you had good work ethics. They need to weed out the worst workers and give the hours to people who want to work. Getting back to basics is needed to make Hyvee the best shopping experience!

Lmao not sure why you are all complaining. After all they gave PT a quarterly bonus (which was sh–) and every few months give 20 percent off groceries (so you spend more in the store) This company had gone down hill with Randy pulling it there

It's nice to see hazard pay but think it should be a set amount for full time or part time...everyone regardless of their pay is in a potentially hazardous store level job working with customers..I don't feel it's right going by wage earned...

Not only is Walmart giving a nice bonus, they are closed on Thanksgiving this year and giving thier associates a holiday. I'm sure Hy-Vee will be open as usual so we can miss our Thanksgiving family meals...again...in the name of the almighty profit dollar.

Just heard on the news Walmart is giving their fulltime employees 300.00 bonuses and their parttime as also ate getting bonuses for HAZARD pay for risking their lives during this terrible time. STEP UP TO THE PLATE HYVEE.,THE BEST PLACE TO WORK?????.

I worked for Hy-Vee many years ago, but I was treated horrible for no reason by the higher-ups. This is not surprising to say the very least!
