I retired a few years ago but had a friend text me that they were going to close the service meat departments to cut alot of labor. Has anyone seen this yet in there stores or is this what is comming in September? Glad I'm out and don't have to see what there doing to people, not the Hy-Vee that I worked for under Ron.

It crazy. I was with hy vee over years. Alway had sale increases and meet gross goals. But was told my job was being eliminated from hyvee. Replace with part time

UNBELIEVABLE... and i am so sorry for all of you who are/will be affected. So what’s next - burger in tubes and prepackaged chicken, pork, etc just like WALMART???
Was thinking that two departments were pretty much “spared” so far - Meat and Bakery. Have seen a lot less staff in bakeries so far (to the point of being drastically understaffed and left scrambling if someone quits or is sick or on vacation). But the Meat dept - that just blows ones mind.
