It’s been an embarrassing week for Neiman Marcus - the press is all over us for the bonus payments yet our leader doesn’t seem to think there is anything wrong with him collecting $3M in September when we get out of bankruptcy. The pride of working here lessens every day. Here’s a suggestion to get us started in the right direction: Geoffroy - why don’t you forfeit the $3M and give it to non officers? The ones who are doing the work? A bonus for all of the work they’ve been doing everyday. You’ve already made $4M in February and you could still make $3M more if we perform well. What a haul for your two years with the company. Do the right thing!

Hey GVR. When are you leaving Dallas? Please take Katie, Liz, Lana and David with you!
The entire thing is disgusting! While the company bellies up, store closures and most of it's staff are furloughed they give bonuses to upper management and favored salespeople that have been fed customers over the years. It's really sad as a new associate you are led to believe that you will have customers to work with which is a total lie because those customers we're handed to their favorite people. Meanwhile, your job is constantly in jeopardy for hitting your personal sales goal. I've never heard the word terminated so much in my entire life! Even if you have to take an FMLA you are still held accountable for sales goals. It's b—s— they led this company to their doom while the rest of us constantly fear for our jobs. Then they bonus themselves in the midst of bankruptcy and pandemic. This company is nothing but smoke and mirrors!
Another MeMeMe example of a CEO in private equity land making out like a bandit during times of putting it to the regular troops that make the system go.
If anybody thinks the GMan will take care of anybody but himself you are dreaming.
Biggest joke concerning this bankruptcy is the fact that they are trying to blame COvid for this when for the last two years he has been navigating a submerged submarine going deeper and deeper under water.
Sure... I got a $1200 bonus for working from home making minimum wage for 3 months.... would have been significantly better off furloughed making unemployment. The reality of the “bonus” is not quite the glamour that they spin it.
It is really gross especially in this climate for c suite to make a money grab and leave the majority of their dedicated associates To suffer. Bankruptcy was inevitable from the poor choices executives have made over the years and the corona virus pandemic was the perfect guise to file . it’s almost laughable that they believe their extra work load warrants millions of dollars in bonuses; where are the bonuses for your managers and staff that have been given multiple departments and stores since the lay-offs earlier this year. And now to watch perhaps 8 stores to close out of 43? How weak and embarrassing for the company . Just deliver those stores’ clients to Saks on a silver platter.
I suggest we all watch the 6 minute film about Stanley Marcus a retail icon. A true pioneer and visionary that cared and had true “love” for associates and clients .
I’ll be waiting to watch the more recent state of affairs for neiman Marcus on the next episode of American greed . Wait is that show still on ;)
What a shame
Bonuses have already been paid to “top books” in the stores, they must stay on board for a year or pay back. Great job security for those who received the payouts. If you are an associate that works in a store and didn’t receive a bonus, they don’t care about you!
