Thread regarding Sears layoffs

No PPP loans for any of the companies of ESL

So they released the database of all the PPP loans that were given. Most car dealerships got 2-5 million or more. Basically free money.

So I searched for sears, Kmart , transformco, ESL, lands end, nothing. A few sears hometowns took the money.

So if Eddie is broke (as everyone claims) why wouldn’t he have grabbed all this free money?

Does anyone have a reasonable explanation?

Everyone says he’s a grifter and this was a huge opportunity to grift and yet nothing. Macy’s got money, Nordstrom’s, JCP all of them. But Eddie didn’t take a dime.

Eddie doesn't want to leave anything left in the divorce, he's squirreling away everything out of marital property. Pretty sh–y thing to do to a breast cancer survivor. Par for the course when stealing money from retirees, literally inducing famines in third world countries and stealing money from kids with cancer to line his own money incinerating pockets.

It's only free money if the recipient continued to pay people during the two months after the loans were offered. That's why it was called "paycheck protection". With proof of continued payroll expense, then the loans could potentially be forgiven. Did TFCO pay anybody during the time the stores were closed? Eddie may in fact have been negligent in passing up funds which could have been passed on to employees. But when has Eddie shown any concern for anybody other than himself?

It's not "free", unless the company commits fraud.

Because 5 million at this point is like peeing in the ocean.
Not going to mean a thing.

Here’s a link to the database, all you guys claiming he’s broke- search it yourself and prove he got some money, if not explain why he wouldn’t have taken it.
