Thread regarding Sears layoffs

10 Sears stores that haven't reopened (yet, at least)

Of the 89 Sears stores that were open and non-liquidating before Covid-19, Sears says they have reopened 79 of them (and then announced the closing of 10 of these). These are the 10 stores that have NOT been reopened:

Fort Collins, Colorado (Appliance)
Camp Hill, Pennsylvania (Appliance & Mattress)
Pharr, Texas (Appliance & Mattress)

Anchorage, Alaska (Home & Life)*
Overland Park, Kansas (Home & Life)
Lafayette, Louisiana (Home & Life)*

Hayward, California*
Silver Spring, Maryland
Brooklyn, New York
Union Gap, Washington

*indicates that the store's web page claims to be open Saturdays only, which I consider unlikely

Fort Collins, Camp Hill, Overland Park, Pharr, and Union Gap are all missing from the Store Locator.

Brooklyn and Silver Spring are back in, as of today. The posted store hours for these (and also Hayward) seem to indicate that they will open this Friday.

Camp Hill was not on the Sears Locator as of 6/23/2020

Oops, ignore my last comment (which I cannot now edit or remove). A small-format store did reopen in Honolulu, Hawaii (not in Alaska).

One of the small-format stores did apparently reopen, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Thanks Nonymous. Is this the end of the "Home & Life" joke?

Fort Collins is a Home & Life for all intents and purposes. Camp Hill and Pharr are franchisees.
