Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

December 1996. What a sad day it was.
That purchase should have never been approved. Competition increases quality and lowers prices. A monopoly, as it is now, is a disaster. Nobody cares about quality anymore. This is the problem we have now. We need another domestic player. Forget about Airbus. We need another commercial airframe manufacturer here. Then Boeing will have to go back to value quality and excellence or otherwise it will disappear.
