Usually, there are no layoffs on Fridays, but nothing would surprise me anymore.

Retail they may wait til after Back to School months, since most schools are doing things differently, this “may” help Staples as parents will need more item to use at home.
Lots of schools are only doing PT schooling and the rest at home virtually.
If you’re places on furlough how would you find out you have been laid off?
I have heard that these layoffs impacted mostly NAD, but Retail (or other business areas) may not have made the decisions yet.
Must be difficult to ask that question every day on your job and still be productive.
I got laid off on a Friday.. you can check your status on job description on the associate connection before your manager even has the talk with you.
Also, what about the next week. Can we expect more then?
