I work at a Staples warehouse Fullfilment Center and I’ve been checking in with HR every couple weeks to find out what’s going on and I’m being told the same thing that I’m number four on the list for my department to be called back. Last I heard they said they are waiting for volume to return once states start to reopen. I was furloughed on April 2 and was told not to worry I will still have a job. Has anyone heard about layoffs at the warehouses??

If I end up getting laid off are they still required to pay me for my vacation and sick time that I have accrued?
Staples’ date back to work full time and to the office from furlough is July 13th - Good luck
I've been with with Stsples in a nonsales but salared postion and was laid off. There are no guarantees.
HR keeps telling me once the state gets further along in the stages of reopening I’ll be back but they don’t have an exact date. I’m hoping that if they were going to lay me off they would have done it by now. Either way they’d be responsible for the unemployment benefits until I found new work. I’m hoping for the best
Do not count on being back and don’t put yourself in any big debt. No guarantee. You might be back or not, layoffs will continue until they right size to the trending sales.
Thank you, that’s a huge sigh of relief, I took HRs word that I’d still have a job, bought a new car and have a child to take care of. I was wondering too if laid off would they be required to pay me for my vacation and sick time that I never took?
You should be fine, there holding on to associates, you should recalled by July 6th. Its management and salaried roles that are being terminated.
I was in receiving so far they have brought back everyone but myself and one other person. Everyone they have brought back has been there for 10 plus years and I’m a recent hire and have been there for less than a year. I haven’t heard anything about being laid off tho
FC's are impacted by the layoffs, what was your postion?
