While it was not the company's fault, the way they are handling this certainly is. I have many friends who were impacted by furloughs/layoffs and what their companies are doing for them makes Enterprise look like the bottom of the barrel.
You were perhaps not in the zoom meeting where they thought the cameras were off (they weren't) and the entire HR team was laughing at us and debating should we be eligible for rehire. No matter what they say they clearly targeted the hire paid people. And I don't even mind that but be honest. They claimed the process was fair and they went off of XYZ, but that was a lie.
I was in the top 100 of rankings, never had any type of corrective action, was a mentor for new hires and I was one of the first permanently laid off. I am glad you still feel this is a good company, but I don't share your sentiment at all.
Maybe we were the guinea pigs and they have improved how they are handling all of this (I pray they have because nobody should have ever been treated the way we were) but for me the bitter taste for Enterprise will never go away. For a company so intense on their SQI, they clearly need to revisit their SQI internally.
