So what’s up with all the GOM promotions for team leads and oims? What about the other people in line for promotions?

YES. They could’ve taken the $ they spent on law firms to respond to COC claims and instead used that for retentions. Would have resulted in a completely different attitude among GOM workers.
Oxy need to start applying a retention scheme pretty quickly as they are already running low at critical levels in field ops due to people quitting

Retention? I know for a fact that there is no retention for LAPC rotators in Algeria. At least not at the poor levels. Also there are no LOXY rotators coming in for at least six months because they can’t get visas and work permits. OXY can keep playing games and employees are going to bail. People are already leaving daily
Imagine how much they are paying them for retention! Need to keep them happy

More like they want to regulators to see that we have backfills for layoffs that are about to occur and we aren't ignoring safety protocols. It's a CYA off-cycle promotion spree. Not that it wont be welcomed by some.... others are going to be shocked.
Because everyone is retiring they need to back full.
