They fired 8 people (whole marketing department) along with VP of Client relations.
Apparently they disapproved of some leadership people and were having internal conversations about it and Impact monitored them.

I wish that anonymous impact bootlicker would come back into this thread. Maybe she, I think I know who it is, could help explain why Frank is blaming his employees for getting Covid in our townhall.
It’s a good thing you can’t buy class. We all know that Frank would use all his money to buy what he doesn’t have.
Since this is now a thread for commenting on how sh–ty it is here...
It’s so obvious to anyone paying attention to our social media that strategy here is Just talk. We’ve got frank’s 23 year old son doing little ted talks about advertising. I couldn’t believe when I heard our head of client services askEd “what’s SEO?” Actually, I guess I can.
I hope the health department keeps coming back to see how impact is endangering us all.
I work there (still) and here are the facts:
- yes, entire dept was fired without cause (other than the reason given “because of Covid” And “they were bad for the culture” this dept was the most vocal about Covid concerns...)
- no, that dept certainly was not replaced, they shifted some ppl around but major talent gaps still remain
- the ppl who were fired were full time employees working 40+ hour weeks
- Responding to the one response, employees were given notice at 4pm to sign a document accepting a pay decrease by the end of the day. Failure to do so would result in termination. Pressuring your employees to sign away salary... always good for morale!
- the reduced salary was paid back months later
- currently employees are forced to work in the office even if they feel uncomfortable about that pesky pandemic
- only way you can work remotely is if you get a doctor note
- there have been several cases of COVID reported in the office, the office has not closed for one minute and employees are told to come into the office
- they do give “unlimited sick days” but if you are healthy you are expected to be in the office
- they do have someone cleaning the office throughout the day
- tears have been shed because employees who have family members with autoimmune deficiencies cannot see them because they have to go into the office
- we’ve been encouraged to speak up, yet when anyone does speak up about Covid, Impact tells us how working from home is a very bad, no good, terrible idea
- if you can’t trust your employees to do their work at home, then hire better. It’s pretty simple, you’ll continue to alienate hard working ppl to cater to children who need to be babysat in the office to get work done.
- this pandemic has shown Impact’s true colors: profit over people
I’ll give you a source if you give me your name. Please. Let’s see where it goes
Can confirm this is NOT true. I work in that very department. It is true that a handful of people from that department were let go for very legitimate reasons (not working even 20 hours a week, unethical behavior, etc.)
Unfortunately part of that teams poison was their own departmental leader, who was also let go.
All positions have been replaced and then some, and that department alone (marketing) has over 100 employees.
Impact as a whole still has near 700 employees. All employees did take pay cuts earlier in April (the Executives and Partners bearing the brunt, with approximately 87% of employees only receiving a 5% decrease) AND not only were salaries reinstated at their full pay back in July, but all lost wages to every employee has been paid back.
Can confirm
