The machine shop is the only department that doesn’t work together and that is why we get nothing! We had the chance a few year back , I think will remember the stand together speech from our now charge hand. I think it ended with him going downstairs and agreeing to overtime. It’s so sad as it would be power in numbers that’s why t@a get stuff sorted because they all give the middle finger when they get shafted .

That is only true to some extent. I believe this may be true with Blake but Bird has a major chip on his shoulder about Aberdeen. Big Jim knew what Aberdeen was all about and he stuck up for Aberdeen and that is why Bird had him forced out the door. Unfortunately although Blakes name is the head of the company reality shows he is winding down and building Bird up to take over and Bird is calling all the shots at the moment which spells disaster for not just for Aberdeen but in the long term DQ as a whole because he doesn't have a clue how this business operates and he is purely looking at it from an accountants view.
Bottom line, Houston is the World Headquarters and will continue to do what’s best for DQ worldwide. If you happen to lose your job don’t take it personal it’s just business.

Is this the same as most of the energy world have seen the comments made by senior corporate management about Aberdeen on that video. I'm sure any other company worth working for will fully understand why employees are so angry with DQ. Corporate management mentality doesn't stop with them, it filters right down throughout the management and supervision chain. They treat employees like dog sh–. So before judging people make sure you know the background to why people are like this.
If you had worked in that place you would quickly realise why being unemployed doesn't really phase most people rather than subjecting themselves to that place.

You “elite” lot in the mc shop are incredible- what an absolute load of drivel. I have never seen such a group of bitter, deluded, twisted “men” all work in the same department before. It’s just as-well you sit on your arse at a machine all day/night and it’s no wonder you all have a good sleep on nightshift, you all must be knackered carrying that chip around on your shoulders .
I’m assuming the wire brush head with stubby finger also drives a forklift ???? Another serpent to be watched ???
